Lot's of baseball played yesterday. I believe it's a RFC camp first, playing a triple header. Team Indianapolis got "Pedroed" in our first game, but we won our next two games. So heading into today's play we stand at 3 and 1. Not bad at all. I'm hitting the ball solid, with some bad luck at times. That's baseball. Guess what? We play 3 more today!! We had an always a laugh fest kangaroo court afterwards. The $32 fine was the theme of the event for obvious reasons. Hope for the warriors is a great cause. We also had an excellent team dinner at Grimaldi's. A great dinner, with even better people.

Finally baseball was played today at 5PM for Team Indianapolis. A lot of waiting around, but it was worth it. We beat a fine Billings team 12 to 5. Our team has some hitters. It will be a fun week win or lose. I love this place!

Washed out again!!! We did have some excellent Coaches infield instructions as result of today's rainout. We had infield drills and some more batting practice indoors. We also had an excellent Bull Session hosted by Josh Sneed with the Pros. Always a laugh fest!
My previous camps have been rain free. Well that ended today. What can you do? Not a whole lot. We did get some batting practice and pitching practice in. Also the team draft was held. I'm on team Indianapolis with Ted Power and Scott Williamson as my coaches.

Last night officially started the Camp, with the Welcome Reception and Dinner. Always great to meet old friends and start making new ones. Also can't wait to start playing some ball soon!

I did something different this year with the early arrival here in Arizona. Actually had some batting practice prior to camp starting. D-Bat Avondale is a pretty nice facility, very close to the HGI. Did a session yesterday and another one today. Also talked Karen into taking some swings. Possibly planting the seed of her participating in a future camp? Only time will tell.

Hey, any excuse to break out my camera! Yesterday was the last scheduled batting practice for campers at Swingtime in Dent before heading out west. Thought it would be good to capture some swings on video. Biggest turnout that I could see there. Again, always great to see my friends.
For Christmas, Santa gave me a new equipment bag. After assembling all my gear and cleaning it, I packed it all up. Since it's been 7 years since my last camp, I really do have that same feeling as I did back in 2014 when I was a rookie. Obviously I'm looking forward to getting back out on the field and playing some ball, but I'm really looking forward to seeing all my friends out there again.

A few guys have asked me about my camera and yes I will have it with me. It's kind of my "signature". Truth be told if it weren't for my buddy Tim Farmer showing me his back in 2014, I'd never would of thought of getting one. So thank you Mr. Farmer.

As we know our camp will not be the same without our friend Tom "Mr. Perfect" Browning. The Camp organization will be distributing uniform patches with Tom's # 32 on it, for all the campers. That is a classy move. Also another buddy Ron Beck had helmet stickers made for everyone. Thanks Ron for doing that too.
