Camp Reunion Weekend Part 3 (Game at GABP)

What a great time this was. Pretty much the final event of Reds Fantasy Camp culminates with us campers playing a game against each other at Great American Ball Park. As I've written previously, words can't always describe feelings at times. This whole experience from the time I (we) decided to go to camp though all the workouts, ball park tour, obviously the camp itself, to this past weekend. I will never forget any of it. A truly incredible experience. I've met some great people along the way, friendships that will last a lifetime. I would love to go back to camp. After what I experienced, could you blame me? As I've learned from this year, you never know what's going to happen to you. Will I get back to Goodyear? I'm not sure at this point. Even if I don't get back, I can say I did it, and it was one of the coolest things I've ever done in my life, Period. Going to camp is truly joining a fraternity. I want to thank everyone for making this whole experience a pure joy.
I loved my time catching.

Hell! I look like I know what I'm

Camp Reunion Weekend Part 2 (Red's Game and Dinner)

What a Day! And tomorrow will be better. Us Campers were marched out to the field and introduced before the Reds vs. Braves game on a Sultry August afternoon. It was great to see all my camp buddies. And to top it all off the Reds won 5-3. Afterwards Karen and I went over to Jeff Reiss' house before the reunion dinner. That man has an incredible baseball memorabilia collection to be sure. The dinner at The Farm was nice as well. A lot of money was raised for the Baseball Heaven Alumni Fund. The High light was the auction of the Doug Flynn Bobble Head.

Camp Reunion Weekend Part 1

I'm Back! Not too much to report as of yet. The "unofficial" reunion game that is organized by Ralph Dusing held at St. Henrys was canceled due to too wet conditions on the playing field. I was disappointed to be sure. I wasn't going to play in it since it's still my "rookie" year. I was looking forward to see my "hero's" play. Hopefully next year will be a different story, as I will probably participate in it. There will be a lot more to report in the next couple of days....Stay tuned.

Yep, it's pretty wet!
